WHITTIER HOSPITAL MEDICAL CENTER PEDIATRIC PATIENT ART WORK SELECTED IN NATIONAL HOLIDAY CARD PROGRAM

WHITTIER, Calif. - The holidays will feel a little more cheerful this year with a hand-drawn holiday card from the children at Whittier Hospital Medical Center's pediatric unit. Whittier Hospital Medical Center was one of four hospitals in the nation chosen for a health care company's 2013 Holiday Card Program based on its patient submission drawings that will be featured on holiday greeting cards.

Pediatric patients in Whittier Hospital's Pediatric Sub-Acute Unit prepared art for the contest.

The Multiplan's Holiday Card Program invites pediatric patients at hospitals participating in the health plan's networks to enter their personal drawings for a public vote. The five entries that receive the most votes are featured on holiday greeting cards for the 2013 holiday season. Winning hospitals receive boxed sets of the chosen cards for use to support pediatric activities.

"We are thankful to have been chosen as part of the holiday card program so that we can share the passion of the holidays by our young patients," said Stacie Amarantos, Pediatric Sub Acute Unit.

MultiPlan, Inc. provides healthcare cost management solutions to insurers, third-party administrators, self-funded employers, HMOs and other entities.
